Put the kettle on! Fancy having one of your favourite podcasts live in your kitchen? Now you can with the No Strings Attached tour
‘I’m Grand Mam’, ‘Keep it Tight’ and ‘Get The Gist’ hit the road from September to October to host live podcast recordings from the homes of fans, powered by Three’s 5G Home Broadband.
Wednesday 4th September: Three Ireland has brought together podcaster juggernauts with the first of its kind podcast tour, giving fans the opportunity to host one of their favourite podcasts live from their kitchen table, powered by Three home broadband. The No Strings Attached Podcast Tour features some of Ireland’s most-renowned podcasts; I’m Grand Mam with PJ Kirby and Kevin Twomey, Keep It Tight, with Deirdre O’Kane and Emma Doran and Get the Gist, with Demi Williams, Roz Odujebe and Rí O’Driscoll.
I’m Grand Mam will bring their iconic musings to a home somewhere in Ireland on September 24th with a very special *live stream event, followed by Dublin trio’ Get The Gist’ diving into the deep details of life on September 26th and comedy royalty Deirdre O’ Kane and Emma Doran wrapping up the series with some hefty laughs on October 3rd.
Powered by Three’s 5G broadband, the No Strings Attached Podcast Tour is taking your favourite podcast out of your ears and into your home, highlighting the superior speed and flexibility of 5G broadband all over Ireland with no messy installation required - just simply plug in and play.
Speaking on the collaboration, Deirdre O’Kane of Keep It Tight says, “Being able to connect with our listeners in this way is something we never thought we would get to do when we started our podcast. Having travelled around the country touring, being able to do a show anywhere in Ireland thanks to Three is exciting. I can’t wait to see their reactions live in their own kitchen.”
PJ Kirby, host of I’m Grand Mam speaking on this collaboration said: “The girlies better put the kettle on and clean out the good china. We’re buzzing to get up close with our listeners and do a different kind of live show than we are used to.”
He added: “Doing podcasts virtually for years and now recently performing live shows, we jumped at this opportunity because it’s so much fun. Three’s 5G broadband will also allow us to live stream from the winner’s home somewhere in Ireland, so you can all tune in and share the fun. We can’t wait to see whose kitchen we will end up in. We might even get to see the good room!”
Aislinn O’Connor, Director of Marketing for Three Ireland & Three UK, speaking on this collaboration says, “Podcasts are continuing to grow in popularity not only in Ireland but beyond, and these often start off in the homes and living rooms of the hosts. We wanted to show that Three 5G Broadband can fuel the creative juices of podcasters across the country be it recording podcasts, making music or working remotely. We are delighted to present 5G Broadband capabilities and highlight how easy it can be to access superior speed and flexibility.”
