19 August, 2024. As Electric Picnic draws to a close for another year, stats from Three Ireland, show that we kept our customers connected throughout the weekend with an 18% increase in data usage at the event since 2023.

Customers on the Three network consumed an average of 1000MB of data every day at the festival. The total amount of data consumed across the four days (Thursday – Sunday), was 130 terabytes, a record for Three at Electric Picnic, this is equivalent to streaming 43,000 HD movies.

With a wide range of acts performing in Stradbally across the weekend, data usage across the Three network showed that those in attendance were able to share special moments with their friends in person and across social media. Our customers also made close to 1.4 million calls over the weekend as Three continues to provide our customers with a better connected life wherever they are.

The busiest day of the festival for data usage was Sunday, as music fans made the most of the final day of the festival before making the journey home.
