3Pay is an easy service to use. For most services, simply select 3Pay or 3Billing and follow the instructions. You’ll get a PIN sent to you by text to confirm your purchase. When you buy something or pay for a subscription, you’ll receive a receipt by text. The receipt will show the price, service you’ve paid for and a helpline number. 

3Pay lets you use your credit to buy apps, subscriptions and other services.

3Pay lets you purchase subscriptions or one-time purchases and will add the charge to your monthly bill. 3Pay doesn’t ask for a credit or debit card number and only uses your phone number to connect payment to your bill. The PIN helps ensure it’s the phone owner making a purchase so it’s super safe and secure.

Yes, there is a limit of €50 per transaction, €100 per day and €150 per month.  If you are a brand-new customer to Three there may also be a credit limit applied to your account for the first few months.

If you no longer wish to use 3Pay as a payment option, simply follow the same process used to set up 3Pay. Select “Payment & Subscriptions”, remove Three as a Billing option and cancel any subscription you may have.

To top up your account, head on over to the My3 app. Log in using your customer details and select “Top Up”. Once complete, you’ll be free to spend using 3Pay.

If you have issues with a purchase, get in touch with the provider directly. A helpline number will be on your bill. Since the content didn’t come from us, our hands are tied so we recommend contacting the provider directly. We also suggest contacting the provider if you don’t remember making the purchase and want more information. The service provider will handle all refund requests, so check their website or give them a call. If they don’t respond or you’re unhappy with their response, call us on 1913 and we’ll do our best to help you out.

The service will be shown on your phone bill and can be found under “Extra Charges”. All 3Pay charges can be seen here under the code “DEFCC” on your bill. You will also receive a text message for each individual charge.

If your transaction fails, you’ll be shown a message on screen. No payment will be taken from your credit or account.

There are a few reasons why this can happen:

• You’ve got insufficient credit in your Pay As You Go account.
• You’ve set up a spending cap on your Pay Monthly account.
• You’ve reached your credit limit.
• There’s an error with the service or network.
• Your account may be blocked.
